June 17, 2016 -- Partner Justin Dillon and Chris Muha have filed a Federal Lawsuit in the District Court of the District of Columbia on behalf of a former UVA law student in a case sponsored by the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE). As reported by the Washington Post, the suit challenges the April 4, 2011 “Dear Colleague” letter issued by the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, which mandate a specific process for adjudicating allegations of sexual assault, and undermine the due process rights of those accused on campus.
